About the Competition

The Yum! Brands Global Sustainability Challenge is designed to recognize and award grants for outstanding student innovation in sustainability related to the focus areas listed below. Teams from around the nation will compete for $20,000 in cash prizes that will be awarded to winning submissions.

Eligibility
Â
We’re inviting Undergraduate and Graduate students to submit plans of outstanding sustainability innovation related to Yum! sustainability focus areas. Contestants must be students of an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program at an accredited college or university in the United States and faculty advisors must be employed by the same university as the contestants. Teams should not have more than six (6) students.  Employees of Yum! Brands or any affiliates are not eligible to participate.

Yum! Brands restaurants are located on university and college campuses all over the country. Â Participating in this challenge provides an opportunity for students to connect with Yum! Brands in efforts to expose innovation in sustainability.
